Truthful Acting - Acting is truthful when it is based on a set of given circumstances; you are thinking and doing as the character, imaging actively with a free body and a walkthrough before time
Stanislavski's system is still the most comprehensive acting method we have and his ideas have been dominating the theatre for over 80 years.
Konstantin Stanislavski created a system for actors so that we, as actors, can create far more truthful, realistic and believable characters.
Think of his system as a useful set of exercises to help you act better. Its isn't about trying to copy what Stanislavski would've done , but more about utilising his system to work on the character and play you are studying. It is about making the system you're own so that you can use it and become a better actor.
